Principal’s Welcome to St Joseph's Primary School, Goulburn NSW

St Joseph’s Primary is a systemic Catholic co-educational primary school catering for students from Kindergarten to Year 6.

Our school motto: "The end crowns the work" invites all members of our school and parish community to achieve to the best of their ability – through effort comes success.

At St Joseph's, we strive to build a safe and caring community where your child will develop to the best of his or her ability: academically, emotionally, physically, socially and spiritually.

To achieve this, we must provide for each child and their family, a community that clearly identifies a common set of values guiding everything we do.

St Joseph's was founded by the Sisters of St Joseph and their example proudly continues in an environment based on Gospel values and a strong commitment to the teachings of Christ. The spirit of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop is embedded in our daily school life - everyone is encouraged to live Mary's words... "never see a need without doing something about it".

We are a Christ-centred community that inspires Faith in God, Belief in Self and Others and Excellence in Education. Our mission at St Joseph’s is to provide quality education within a Catholic environment.

Our school was founded by the Sisters of St Joseph in 1882 and we continue to follow the example of St Mary of the Cross MacKillop.

St Joseph’s is a co-educational school catering for 315 students from Kindergarten to Year 6. It is one of two Catholic primary schools within the parish of Mary Queen of Apostles in Goulburn and is part of the Catholic Education Office of the Archdiocese of Canberra and Goulburn. At the end of Year 6, the children have the opportunity to continue their Catholic education at Trinity Catholic College, Goulburn.

In addition to our Religious Education program, we place a strong emphasis on Literacy and Numeracy. By integrating these core curriculum areas, we aim to make learning relevant and authentic, helping students develop the skills they need for an enriching, active, and purposeful future.

May God bless you and your family.
