The school Canteen is open Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for lunch orders and break times. Orders are collected in the classrooms in a lunch crate and sent by two children to the canteen before 9:30 am, and can now be made online using the Qkr! app. If you're accessing the online system for the first time, you will need to register with either the Play Store or the App Store. The Qkr! app is supported by Mastercard and the Commonwealth Bank. When registering please select each of your children and their class. This will be updated at the beginning of every year, you will be prompted to updated these details by Qkr! You will need a Debit or Credit Card to use this app.
Parents and Friends are asked to help on a roster basis and to arrange a substitute if unable to attend on that day. If you'd like to assist, please complete the Canteen Volunteer Form.
The Canteen is open at recess and lunch Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. Parents also can make donations of fresh fruit (watermelon, strawberries, apples, bananas and oranges) tinned fruit (pineapple, peaches, pears etc), raisin bread for toasting, butter or margarine, crumpets, English muffins, tomatoes, grated cheese, sliced cheese, lettuce, ham, pikelet mix, scones, soup, 2 minute noodles, diet jelly, tomato paste or snap lock bags and paper bags etc.

The Fresh Tastes Healthy School Canteen Strategy is all about giving students a taste for healthy foods. It heralds a move beyond nutrition guidelines for school canteens to a government-endorsed approach that helps schools determine the healthier types of foods that should be available for sale in their canteens. At St Joseph's we encourage parents to be aware of these guidelines when making choices about lunch orders.
